Beginning

When you walk into our gym, you might be intimidated. You might see things that make you want to turn around and run.

Emily might have a heavy 32 KG kettlebell in her hands. And you will say to yourself… “How heavy are those kettlebells that Emily is swinging? I could never do that. And won’t that giant kettlebell hurt my back?!?”

Or you will see the whole group doing burpees for Nicole’s birthday. Again, you say to yourself… “I can’t do 5 burpees, much less burpee my age!”

The thing is, It’s not about THEM. You CANNOT compare yourself to anyone else in the gym. After all, you are where you are. You’re at a starting point. And it is just that. A beginning. Unique to you.

Everyone else had a starting point. Although yours is unique, their starting point might have been similar. Yet different. Different ages. Different experience.

Sure, you can’t swing that 32 KG kettlebell…now. But you can get there. You will work up to it. (And we will make sure you don’t hurt anything. Especially your back.)

Same with burpees. Maybe you can do one really slow one. Eventually, there will be 2. Then 5. Then 20.

It just takes time. It takes patience. And most of all, it takes consistency. Showing up. Every day. Consistently.

Our gym isn’t about competition. It’s not about keeping up with everyone else. It’s about slow, steady progress.

It’s about creating a new YOU.
